Fall Color Report

The State of Wisconsin has beautiful, natural scenery year-round. But, fall in Wisconsin is particularly beautiful and offers many opportunities to experience that fall/autumn spirit. With that being the said, the colors outside are changing! Travel Wisconsin offers some great information with a "Fall Color Report." Currently, most of the fall colors in Fond du Lac should be a yellow-orange mix. The estimated week for peak colors (vibrant red) is the fourth week of October. For the best views of color, take a trip through the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive following the signs. Enjoy!

Fall Hunting - Department of Natural Resources

Hunting season is here! With that being said, I wanted to share some great information from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on the subject. On their website, the DNR provides several links for you to analyze options for hunting opportunities, planning your hunt, 2019 hunting forecasts for bears, deer and birds, and hunting education. The last point is especially important for you to exercise appropriate safety in hunting. Feel free to send any pictures to the office of your successful hunt. Good luck this season!

Construction Updates

As fall slowly transitions towards winter, construction in Wisconsin typically slows down - which is something to look forward to! In the district, there are currently three construction projects that should be completed by the end of November. 1) From Cth VV to USH 45, a curb and gutter has been installed on Pioneer Road and throughout the roundabout that was constructed. A sewer is now being installed on CTH V (North of Pioneer Rd). 2) Resurfacing of WIS 23 from Town line Road to County VVV Fond du Lac County 3) Resurfacing of WIS 67 from the Dodge/Fond du Lac County line in Fond du Lac County to Baumann Street in the village of Campbellsport. During construction periods, I encourage everyone to be careful in construction zones, especially around workers by giving them space. Stay safe!

Manufacturing Month

manufacturingmonth_2019b.jpgIn October, we recognize the manufacturers in Wisconsin that consistently provide hard work to play a huge role in a great economy. In fact, Wisconsin ranked second in the nation for manufacturing job growth in 2016 and 2017. This stat is not surprising because Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry provides excellent jobs for hard-working families. Wisconsin’s 9,437 manufacturers currently employs more than 460,000 workers, roughly 16 percent of the state’s total employees. Manufacturers are extremely important to Wisconsin, which is why we show our gratitude to them this month.
