Town Hall - FdL and Calumet

Town Hall.jpg

On Monday, Senator Feyen and I held a town hall in both Fond du Lac and Calumet. I had a great time having a discussion with the constituents who joined us on topics about guns, vaccinations, roads, bipartisanship, 5G, mental health, and drainage issues. If you are interested in my thoughts about various political topics, always feel free to call or email my office or attend a town hall meeting in the future. I welcome the civil discussions we can have!

National Adoption Day

November 23rd is recognized as National Adoption Day, which is a collective effort to raise awareness of the more than 125,000 children waiting to be adopted from foster care in the United States. As an individual and a legislator, one of the most important things to me is being pro-life. I believe it is one of my duties to raise awareness about the significance of adoption, since it is a far better alternative than terminating a pregnancy.

I know there are many families that would love to adopt a child. However, there are many barriers that make it difficult, such as red tape, waiting lists, and financial costs. During this legislative session, Speaker Vos created a Task Force on Adoption to address these issues. Recently, a package of bills that stemmed from the task force (ABs 559, 560, 561, 562, 563, 564, 565, and 566), all of which I am a cosponsor, have been introduced and received a public hearing in the Committee on Family Law. I look forward to how these bills progress through the committee and will definitely vote "YES" on them if they come before the full Assembly.

Happy Thanksgiving!

On Thanksgiving Day, I hope everyone has a great time with friends and family celebrating the holiday season by being thankful for what we have, especially each other, and eating tons of food! I am definitely thankful and blessed for having an amazing family, serving the 52nd District, and being a citizen of the freest country in the world!
