Safer at Home Order

safer+at+home+HD2.jpg

On Wednesday, Governor's Evers' "Safer at Home" executive order went into effect. It is scheduled to conclude on April 24th. Many people have already contacted the 52nd District office as to whether their business practices are considered "essential." If the order linked above or the WEDC website does not answer your questions or concerns, you may fill out the form that is at the bottom of the webpage linked. Otherwise, please contact the 52nd District office and we would gladly offer assistance.

April 7th Spring Election

At this moment, the election date will not be adjusted. Therefore, the Wisconsin Elections Commission, Wisconsin legislature, and municipal clerks encourage you to vote absentee. You may request a ballot at myvote.wi.gov along with any guidance on the process. If you would like to vote early in person, rather than by mail, the opportunity to do this is available in each municipality of the 52nd District. If you are willing to assist as a poll worker on election day, please contact your municipal clerk. If you have any questions or encounter any issues, please call the Fond du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg at 929-3000. The following gives detail to how your early vote can occur:

City of Fond du Lac 7:45am-4:30pm at city/county center
Village of Oakfield 9:00am-5:00pm at village office
Town of Byron call 920-375-6119 for appointment

State Park and Trail Admission Fees Waived

On Tuesday, the Department of Natural Resources announced that any state park and trail admission fees will be temporarily waived. Social distancing and group size restrictions are still in place at the parks and trails. During a time where a lot of our leisurely activity is limited, getting outside of the house and enjoying our beautiful state is a wonderful activity that many of us can do safely for physical and mental health.

Capitol Building Closed to the Public

If you intended on visiting the Capitol building during this that the "Safe at Home" order is in effect, please note that it will be closed to the public until further notice. However, the 52nd District office staff is still able to help you. Many offices are working from home and that does not limit our ability to assist you with your questions and concerns. Please continue to call my office number or email me and we will get back to you.
