Meeting with FdL District Attorney Eric Toney

FDL DA Eric Toney Meeting.jpg

On Monday, I had a productive meeting with Senator Feyen and Fond du Lac County DA Eric Toney. Our discussion involved how we can help make Fond du Lac a more safe and just home for its citizens.

Testifying for AB 44 and AB 211

On Thursday, I testified in favor of bills AB 44 and AB 211 at a public hearing for the Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety. AB 44 would allow a public or private elementary or secondary school to install a barricade device on an interior door in the school building. AB 211 relates to records of certain offenses related to operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited blood alcohol concentration. I am hopeful that my testimonies will encourage each member of the committee to vote in favor of both bills.

First Responder of the Year

Speaker Vos is encouraging each office to identify a deserving person in their district for a First Responder of the Year recognition. Each district recipient will be invited to a Hometown Hero recognition during the October floor period as part of First Responders Appreciation Month. My office is accepting potential recipients until September 6. A person will be chosen by September 13. If you know someone that is worthy to be a potential recipient, please fill out the form on my website that is linked below.
