Rep. Novak Receives WISCAP Human Services Award

Madison…Rep. Todd Novak (Dodgeville) received the Wisconsin Community Action Program Association’s (WISCAP) William Steiger Human Services Award at WISCAP’s annual meeting of Community Action Programs in Madison.

The William Steiger Human Services Award is WISCAP’s award that they present to a member of the state legislature and this year, the WISCAP Executive Committee chose Rep. Novak. He was chosen for the effort and leadership he put into preserving the funding for the Access Community Health Centers Dental Clinics, where they provide dental services for families with low or moderate income.

“I’m passionate about helping those in need, and Access Community Health Centers provide a tremendous service to people that desperately need it,” said Rep Novak. “I’m fortunate to have been able to work with the people at Access, the passion and commitment they have is incredible. It is truly an honor to be recognized and receive this award”

Access Community Health Centers are local, non-profit care providers serving low income and medically underserved communities. The Dodgeville Dental Clinic provides dental services to people throughout Iowa, Richland, Sauk, Grant and western Dane counties.

The award was presented by Wally Orzechowski, Executive Director of Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program, and Dr. Ken Loving, CEO of Access Community Health Centers.
