Session Prayer

This week, Pastor Mark Williamson, Grace Lutheran Church, Dodgeville, gave the opening prayer to kick off the fall legislative session.

Pastor Mark has been with Grace Lutheran Church since 2015. I invited him because he is very well respected in our community and active with many local organizations.

Thank you Pastor Mark for the inspirational prayer given to our legislative body!

Hometown Hero Nominations

My office is now accepting nominations for the 2021 First Responder Award in the 51st Assembly District.

Last session, Al Michek of Highland, was honored with the First Responder Award in our district. At the time of the award Al was the longest serving EMT in Wisconsin with over 48 years of service.

This award highlights the brave men and women of our Police, Fire and EMS for the great work they are doing in our communities. Please nominate any first responders who embody community service, selflessness, and dedication.

Please visit my website ( and fill out a short application by October 8th to have your local first responder nominated.
