Village of Linden President Tom Faull

This week I attended a recognition party hosted by the Village of Linden for Tom Faull. Tom has served as Village President and board member for a continuous 54 years. When he retired at the end of his term in April he was the longest serving elected municipal official in the state! He has truly been an asset to the community and a great guy.

Budget Update

The Joint Committee on Finance released an update on the budget this week. The budget will provide over $1.6 billion to expand access to care and increase affordability. It will increase funding for Personal Care Workers by $37 million, Direct Caregivers in Family Care by $27 million, Children and Family Aids by $30.5 million and funding for Nursing Homes by $30 million over the biennium. There were many concerns throughout the state about the healthcare workforce. These investments are aimed at helping the healthcare workforce stay competitive and give the people of Wisconsin the proper care they need.
