Assembly Floor Speech

Yesterday, the Wisconsin State Assembly held a floor session. We voted to pass Senate Joint Resolution 3 which was related to the public health emergency. It is important to note that we have three co-equal branches of government. Wisconsin Statute 323.10 reads: "a state of emergency shall not exceed 60 days, unless the state of emergency is extended by joint resolution of the legislature". This state statute is a vital piece to the checks and balances in our government.
