Tranel Ag & Rural Business Tour Today

Madison – Today, Rep. Travis Tranel, R-Cuba City, will put 100 miles on the odometer with 10 official stops in the northern part of the 49th Assembly District, which includes one-third of Richland County. (Forest, Bloom, Sylvan, Akan, Dayton, Richwood and Eagle Townships) He is scheduled to meet with more than 50 constituents about agriculture and rural business issues affecting the area.

The tour will begin in Muscoda with four stops before heading north.  Tranel is proud that he represents two UW campus farms in his Assembly District and will be touring UW-Richland’s Foundation farm in Dayton Township mid-day.  After visiting with UW-Richland officials, Tranel will meet with a business owner and tour his facility near Viola.  Among other stops, Tranel will be briefed by a local leading workforce expert from QPS Employment Group because Tranel wants to ensure that Wisconsin has the skilled workforce needed to meet the changing needs of our economy.

The tour will end by meeting with a group of farmers near Blue River who are working with Tranel to develop a report on agricultural issues for the Assembly Agriculture Committee. Tranel is vice-chairman of the Committee.

“This outreach tour is about meeting face to face with citizens I represent,” said Tranel.  “Some I’ve met before while others I’m meeting for the first time.  It has been my priority this past year to make sure that I am accessible to the people of the 49th Assembly District so that we are working as a team.”
