Rep. Tranel: Statement on Passage of State Budget

State Representative Travis Tranel (R-Cuba City) issued the following statement after the Wisconsin State Assembly voted 57-39 to pass the 2017-19 state budget:

“Tonight we passed a state budget that significantly invests in southwest Wisconsin’s priorities.  It increases K-12 education funding by $639 million, reduces the tax burden, protects SeniorCare, supports worker training, increases town and county road aid, and invests $78 million in UW-Platteville.  Moving forward, I will continue working with my colleagues on ways to promote job creation and economic prosperity in Wisconsin.”
