Rep. Tranel Focused on Moving Forward

Platteville, WI – Tonight Representative Travis Tranel, R-Cuba City, is celebrating Governor Scott Walker’s recall election victory in Platteville.  Less than two weeks ago, Rep. Tranel knew that momentum was propelling the Governor toward victory tonight when 350 people showed up at his farm near Cuba City on May 25th when he hosted a rally for Walker.  Governor Walker won Rep. Tranel’s 49th Assembly District with over 52% of the vote.

Rep. Tranel said, “Now that the people of Wisconsin have cast their ballots and the results are in, it’s time to move forward together in order to focus on what’s most important to every citizen of Wisconsin – jobs and the economy.  Wisconsin is on track for a brighter future.”

Unemployment has decreased in the 49th Assembly District, the local newspapers have ads seeking to hire people, and farmers and local business leaders have renewed confidence in Wisconsin’s leadership.

Tonight’s victory for Governor Walker makes Wisconsin a Presidential election battleground state.  Western Wisconsin demonstrated tonight that it is important to Mitt Romney’s campaign for President, especially since it is next door to Iowa.

Rep. Tranel concluded, “We must re-dedicate ourselves to focusing on keeping Wisconsin moving forward.  Every citizen in Wisconsin has a stake in building a brighter future for today and for our next generation.  We are all in this together.”
