Rep. Tranel Sworn in for Third Term

 
Travis Tranel officially begins his third term in the 102nd Wisconsin State Legislature today. Rep. Tranel (R-Cuba City) took the oath of office in a ceremony in the Assembly chambers Monday afternoon. He is committed to improving Wisconsin’s business climate, reforming government, lowering the tax burden, and supporting rural schools.
 
“The communities of Southwestern Wisconsin are my top priority,” said Rep. Tranel.  “I will return to Madison to continue my commitment to grow Wisconsin’s economy and help workers get the training they need for today’s workforce.”
 
Rep. Tranel is serving as the Chair of the Assembly Tourism Committee this session.  He is also a member of the Agriculture, Colleges and Universities, Energy and Utilities, Insurance, and Small Business Development committees.
 
“I am ready to begin this session and work with my legislative colleagues to better our great state,” said Rep. Tranel.  “Southwest Wisconsin is fortunate to have a strong team of legislators including Rep. Lee Nerison, Rep. Ed Brooks, Rep. Todd Novak, and Sen. Howard Marklein.”

The 49th Assembly District includes Grant County along with portions of Lafayette, Iowa and Richland.
