Rep. Tranel Reappointed Tourism Chair
Madison, WI – Speaker Robin Vos appointed Wisconsin State Representative Travis Tranel to serve as Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Tourism for the 2019-2021 legislative session. This will be Rep. Tranel’s third legislative session as Chairman.
“I am honored to be trusted to once again head the committee overseeing the third largest industry in the state,” said Tranel. “In 2017, tourism had a $20.6 billion impact on the state’s economy, and I am eager to work with my legislative colleagues and Governor-Elect Evers to ensure that the industry continues to grow.”
Representative Tranel will take the oath of office and be sworn in for his fifth term as the 49th Assembly District Representative on Monday, January 7th.
The 49th Assembly District includes all of Grant County and parts of Richland, Lafayette, and Iowa Counties.
