Rep. Tranel Applauds Governor’s Signing of Worker Training Bill

Madison – Today Governor Walker signed into law Special Session Assembly Bill 2 which will expand worker training programs in Wisconsin.  The bill increases workforce training grants to technical colleges. 
 
“I am pleased that this important piece of legislation, which I supported, was signed into law today.  We are continuing to take positive steps forward to close the skills gap in Wisconsin,” said Tranel.
 
This important expansion of the Wisconsin Fast Forward program will help high school students gain industry-recognized certifications, reduce waiting lists for courses in high-demand fields, and enhance employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.  For more information on the Wisconsin Fast Forward program please visit http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/wff/
