Navigating the government bureaucracy can be difficult and frustrating. Please contact Rep. Baldeh's office with any questions you might have regarding the DOT, DNR, DWD, or other state agencies. We would be happy to help you!

Citations

I would be happy to issue a formal citation to commend individuals who have achieved a personal or professional accomplishments or milestones, or who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service to their state or community. Citations are frequently given to those achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, for retirements, for milestone anniversaries and birthdays, to commend a winning team, and more!

To request a citation for someone you know, please include the name of person receiving citation, contact person and phone number where he/she can be reached, event and date of awarding event (if there is one). Please also provide a short description of why this person is deserving of a citation (including but not limited to): Any community or volunteer groups the person has participated in (if applicable); Any other professional, educational, athletic, or artistic achievements that are applicable; Any public offices held; and/or Date of Wedding/Birthday (if applicable).

U.S. & Wisconsin State Flags

You may order a U.S. or Wisconsin flag through our office for a very minimal fee. The Assembly Chief Clerk keeps Wisconsin flags and United States flags in stock. Flag choices are:

  • Nylon U.S. flag (3’ x 5’) = $9.50
  • Nylon Wisconsin flag (3’ x 5’) = $13.50

Visit the Capitol!

The best way to experience the beauty and grandeur of Wisconsin's Capitol building (located at 2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53702) is to see it for yourself.

Free tours are offered daily, except on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Tours start at the information desk Monday through Saturday at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 am and 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 pm; and Sundays at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. A 4:00 p.m. tour is offered weekdays (Monday - Friday), excluding holidays, during Memorial Day through Labor Day. Plan on spending 45-55 minutes for a tour. Groups of ten or more can make an on-line reservation for a tour of the State Capitol or call (608) 266-0382.

A sixth floor museum and observation deck are also open in summer.

  • Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm
  • Weekends and Holidays: 8am - 4pm

Blue Books & Maps

Each legislative office distributes, copies of the Wisconsin Blue Book, and state of Wisconsin Highway maps. The Wisconsin Blue Book is a one-stop shop that contains everything you need to know about Wisconsin, its state government, departments, and officials. The Wisconsin Highway map is a paper map that contains the various highways in the state.
