VISITING THE CAPITOL

 

 

Come experience the beauty of the State Capitol Building for yourself. The capitol is open to the public year-round. You are welcome to explore the building on your own, or you may join a free guided tour at the times listed below. You can expect a tour to last 45-55 minutes.

Free tours are offered daily, except on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. They depart from the information desk on the ground floor. 

Groups of ten or more should call (608) 266-0382 to make a reservation, or go online to make arrangements. No reservations are needed for groups of fewer than ten people. 

 

Tour Times:

Monday-Saturday: 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 am and 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 pm. A 4:00 pm tour is offered weekdays (Monday - Friday) during the summer months.

Sundays: 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 pm
