Representative Anderson Introduces Legislation to Lower Costs for Working Families

MADISON, Wis - Today, Legislative Democrats introduced the Lowering Costs, Improving Lives package to help working families across our state. The three-bill package would reduce the tax burden for low-income renters and homeowners by expanding the Homestead Tax Credit, cut the costs of grocery bills for families with Healthy School Meals for All, and decrease prescription drug prices through our Less for Rx agenda.

Representative Anderson (D- Beloit) released the following statement regarding the package:

“Last fall, I talked to thousands of voters who told me that the cost of living was their top concern. Voters are struggling to make ends meet. While Legislative Republicans are playing political games, we are taking action.

Today, we introduced legislation that will help working families, seniors, and people in every corner of our state to reduce costs. This package aims to lower the cost of prescription drugs, make it easier to afford a home, and help working families save at the grocery store.”
