Hometown Hero, Corporal Benjamin H. Neil Memorial Highway, and New Interns
In this week's e-update, I recognized a local hometown hero, testified for the Corporal Benjamin H. Neil Memorial Highway, welcomed new interns, and Sully promoted Beloit.
Hometown Hero
I had the opportunity to recognize Officer Aaron Johnson of Evansville as a Hometown Hero during our session on Wednesday. Officer Johnson administered two doses of Narcan on a 30 year old mother in November of 2022. His quick thinking saved her life.
Corporal Benjamin H. Neil Memorial Highway
I testified this week in favor of AB 225. This bill renames Highway 11 between Orfordville and Footville the Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway. Corporal Neal was killed in Afghanistan in 2012 and was the first combat death from Orfordville since World War I. I hope to see this bill move through committee and be on the floor for a vote soon.
New Interns
This month I have had three new interns start in my office. They each have already brought valuable perspectives and energy to the job. Join me in welcoming Max, Caleb, and Jeremy to the office.
Sully Sunday
