AI in Elections, Soybean Processing, Epinephrine Access, and Sully
In this e-update, I furthered bills to regulate AI use in campaigns, to increase access to epinephrine, and to pave the way for construction of a state-of-the-art soybean processing plant in Evansville. Sully also made a stop at DogWorld in Beloit
Disclosing AI Use in Campaigns
This week, I voted for my bill in committee which requires the disclosure of content generated by AI in campaign advertisements. This bill is a common sense way to protect voters by allowing them to know what is and is not true in political advertisements. As the author of this bill, I am encouraged to report the bill passed unanimously out of committee.
Evansville Soybean Processing Plant
This week the assembly passed out of committee my bill to set the groundwork for a $700 million investment in Evansville in the form of a new state-of-the-art soybean processing facility. I also testified in the senate to the positive impact the project would have on the economic future of Evansville, the region, and our entire state.
Epinephrine Availability Bill Package
I also advocated for a bill package relating to the availability of epinephrine, an important and life saving medication. This legislation would stock ambulances with the medication and would allow pharmacists flexibility in offering epinephrine autoinjector alternatives, which would increase the availability and decrease the financial burden of obtaining the medication that is crucial to many. Last week, both bills received a hearing in the senate.
Sully Sunday
This last week, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting DogWorld with Sully. Sully and I enjoyed the wide selection of hot dogs, burgers, gyros, shakes, and much more. If you’re looking for a great spot for a meal in Beloit, look no further!
