AI in Elections, Local Libraries, Tornado Response, and Sully
In this e-update, the Assembly passed a bill I authored regulating AI use in campaign advertisements, I met with staff of local libraries, I learned more about the Rock and Green County Tornadoes, and I visited West Beloit Pinnons with Sully.
AI Disclosures in Political Advertisements Bill Passes Assembly
This week, the Assembly passed a bill I authored requiring the disclosure of content generated by AI in campaign advertisements with the goal of protecting public trust and providing transparency in our democratic decision making process. This bill is now awaiting passage in the Wisconsin State Senate.
Meeting With Staff From Local Libraries
Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting some employees from Beloit Public Library and Middleton Public Library. Libraries are such an important part of our communities, and I always appreciate the opportunity to learn more about their valuable work.
Rock and Green County Tornadoes
After the unfortunate events surrounding the tornadoes last week, I got a bird's eye view of the damage. Thank you to the first responders who worked around the clock to help residents who were impacted.
#SullySunday
This last week, in anticipation for the Super Bowl, Sully and I enjoyed a visit to West Beloit Pinnons. They have a wide variety of meat with excellent quality and great prices.
