A New Session Means New Opportunities
During these past two weeks, my office has been hard at work getting ready for the new legislative session. I was sworn in for a second term, received new committee assignments, began work on the Campaigns and Elections Committee and Sully stopped by China House in Beloit.
Sworn in for Second Term in State Assembly
It is an honor to be sworn in for a second term representing the residents of the 45th District. I remain committed to working across the aisle to champion common-sense solutions that uplift our communities and improve the lives of all Wisconsinites.
Committee Assignments
Leader Neubauer appointed me to the following Assembly committees:
- Ranking Member, Committee on Local Government
- Ranking Member, Committee on Rural Development
- Committee on Agriculture
- Committee on Campaigns and Elections
Attended Campaigns and Elections Committee Hearings
Last week, I attended a Committee on Campaigns and Elections Hearing on AJR1. After losing seats in both the Assembly and Senate, Legislative Republicans are more focused on retaining power rather than addressing the kitchen table issues facing Wisconsinites. I believe we should instead be focused on issues facing the middle class.
#SullySunday
Sully stopped by China House in Beloit! Sully is a big fan of their diverse menu, featuring both Chinese and Japanese dishes. Whether you’re craving sushi or General Tso’s, this spot has something for everyone. If you have a recommendation for where Sully should go next, nominate a location here.
