Representative Dallman Appointed to State Claims Board

Madison, WI --- State Representative Alex Dallman has been appointed to serve on the State of Wisconsin Claims Board by the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) Co-Chair, Representative Mark Born.

“I am looking forward to serving on this board and further diving into the inner workings of state government,” said Representative Dallman.

The Claims Board was created in 1955 and is made up of five members which consist of a designee from the Department of Justice, a designee from the Department of Administration, a designee from the Office of the Governor, and a designee from each of the JFC Co-Chairs. The Claims Board considers claims for general damages such as property loss, personal injury, vehicle accidents, licenses, permits, and taxes, as well as damages related to contracts with the State of Wisconsin. The board also considers petitions for compensation by innocent persons convicted of a crime, and requests for reissuance of stale-dated state checks.

“I always appreciate taking on new roles and expanding my opportunities to make a difference in the lives of Wisconsinites,” said Representative Dallman. “I appreciate Representative Born for giving me the opportunity to represent the State Assembly and the State of Wisconsin in this appointed position.”

State Representative Alex Dallman was re-elected in November 2022 to serve a second term for Wisconsin's 41st Assembly District which includes parts of Green Lake, Marquette, Adams, Columbia, Sauk, and Waushara counties. Representative Dallman currently serves as a member of the powerful Joint Committee on Finance.
