Representative Dallman Announces Historic Investment in Shared Revenue

Madison, WI – This morning Representative Alex Dallman (R-Green Lake), along with his Assembly Republican colleagues and local elected officials from around the state, announced a historic investment into shared revenue for Wisconsin’s townships, villages, cities, and counties. The shared revenue program provides unrestricted aid to Wisconsin counties and municipalities through various programs such as county and municipal aid and utility aid. This investment includes:

  • Approximately $1.5 billion in sales tax revenue, which will be directed to local government through shared revenue
  • $300 million in new money to encourage economic innovation through partnerships and consolidation between local governments
  • $227 million in new money for law enforcement, first responders, and public works
  • More funding for local governments to upgrade their 911 dispatch systems
  • The elimination the Personal Property Tax
  • A minimum of a 10% increase in shared revenue for every municipality across Wisconsin

“I am proud of the work that our Assembly leadership team has done to ensure more shared revenue is distributed to our local townships, villages, cities and counties across Wisconsin,” Rep. Dallman said. “I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of these conversations and to be a voice for rural Wisconsin.”

“I am confident that the positive impact of this historic investment will be felt by each and every municipality across the 41st District and the State of Wisconsin.”
