Representative Dallman Honors First Responder at Capitol Ceremony

Madison, WI --- On Tuesday, State Representative Alex Dallman welcomed Glen Bubolz to the Wisconsin State Assembly floor for the First Responder of the Year celebration.

“There were many selfless citizens throughout the 41^st District who were nominated to my office for First Responder of the Year, but Glen was definitely the person who stuck out to me the most,” said Representative Dallman. “Glen Bubolz has selflessly served the Montello Fire Department for 50 years and 25 of those years he served as the Fire Chief. The dedication, compassion, and courage that Glen demonstrated for all these years deserves to be recognized.”

“Glen has gone above and beyond for the constituents of the 41^st District for decades and I am honored to be able to recognize his service to all citizens of our State. Glen’s family and friends should be extremely proud of the work he has shown to our local community.”

The “First Responder of the Year” award was created in 2019 to recognize the brave men and women who serve in our emergency services. Wisconsin State Representatives from each district seek nominations from their communities and select one individual who best exemplifies community service, selflessness and dedication. The list of recipients from this year included police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and EMS personnel.

Along with providing each award recipient with a legislative citation recognizing their achievement, the State Assembly also passed a resolution declaring October 28^th First Responders Appreciation Day.
