Rep. Dallman Votes to Ensure Fairness in Funding for Administering Wisconsin Elections

Madison, WI ---Representative Alex Dallman voted, today, in favor of a bill that prevents outside organizations from using their funds to attempt to infiltrate and influence the administration of our elections here in Wisconsin. With that being said, private groups will no longer be allowed to buy election influence on behalf of a political party by providing money to selected local governments. Representative Dallman has made the following statements:

"This bill is crucial for fair elections within the state of Wisconsin. If this bill would become law, local governments will not be able to receive private money to conduct elections. If the money is offered, it must go through the Wisconsin Elections Commission who will then distribute the money across the state on a per capita basis."

"Wisconsin elections should always be run by our devoted, non-partisan clerks and any money that comes from outside sources should be distributed to municipalities in a fair and impartial manner."

"The State of Wisconsin prides itself on clean government and has always been near the top in voter participation. Wisconsin does things the right way and we can all agree the administration of our elections cannot be awarded to the highest bidder."
