Session

On Tuesday, I voted to override Governor Evers' veto of Assembly Bill 336, which inspires unemployed Wisconsinites to return-to-work as businesses and employees operate through a worker shortage. This bill would have ended Wisconsin's participation in federal unemployment money enhancement programs which discourages able-bodied adults from returning to work.

This piece of legislation also requires that individuals who file for Unemployment Insurance, are actively searching for a job to be eligible to collect benefits. The Governor waived that requirement last year through an emergency rule. Unfortunately, the democrats have blindly chosen to follow the Governor's weak leadership, causing the override to fail with a 59-37 vote.
