E-Update for April 26 - April 30
The Joint Finance Committee Holds its First-Ever Virtual Hearing

This week the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) held its first virtual public hearing as part of the Budget Roadshow, a series of public hearings that serve as an opportunity for Wisconsin residents to provide input on the next two-year state budget.

Thank you to everyone who has provided input on Wisconsin's next state budget. Whether your input came from appearing at one of JFC's public hearings, appearing at one of my in-district listening sessions, or was sent to the committee's website or email, I am appreciative of your comments and feedback. As the budget-crafting process continues this spring, we will use your input to help guide our discussions and influence our decisions.

While these hearings have come to an end, we are far from being done with our work on the budget. If you would still like to provide me with your thoughts on the next budget, you can reach out to my office at anytime by emailing Rep.Born@legis.wisconsin.gov or calling 608-266-2540.

Discussing Healthcare Issues at Marshfield Medical Center - Beaver Dam

On Monday I had the opportunity to visit Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam and speak with their Chief Administrative Officer, Angela Foster. We spoke about the challenges our local hospitals have faced during the last year.

Thank you for all that you have done for our local community!

Visiting St. John's Lutheran School in Mayville

Recently I paid a visit to St. John's Lutheran School in Mayville. After going on a tour and visiting students, I was a part of a panel discussion with parents whose children attend the school. We discussed some of the issues affecting our children's education, and how our local schools have continued to educate our children over the last year.

Thank you to the students for showing me their classrooms!
