This week we honored our Marines on their 246th birthday and all who have served in every military branch on Veterans Day.
LEGISLATIVE MAPS PASSED
17 Democrats joined Republicans in overwhelmingly rejecting Gov. Evers’ unconstitutional “People’s Maps Commission Maps,” most notably decried by minority community members. As Gov. Evers has already signaled that he will veto the maps passed by the Legislature, state statute now dictates that the Court will decide our new congressional and legislative maps. Stay tuned for any updates on progress through the courts.
ELECTION INTEGRITY
LAB REPORT AND HEARING
The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal election laws, and county and municipal clerks administer elections. Statutes require WEC to provide training and guidance to municipal clerks in the state’s 1,849 municipalities. Statutes also require WEC to design and maintain the state’s electronic voter registration system, which is known as WisVote, and approve electronic voting equipment before it can be used in Wisconsin.
This week, the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections had an informational hearing covering both the Racine County Sheriff’s election investigation and the Gableman election audit.
Yesterday, Rep. Dittrich was so grateful to be able to honor people with unique abilities through the passage of SJR69, recognizing Employment Choice First as a means to preserve the dignity, self-esteem, and pride of individuals with disabilities in Wisconsin. Her friends from A-Team Wisconsin were there to celebrate the occasion.
The Assembly Committee on Mental Health heard testimony on AB 600 (drafted by Rep. Dittrich), which will allow parents to open enroll their student under the Wisconsin School Choice program should their district suddenly change course on masks or vaccines. This is an important step forward for educational freedom, which parents have been demanding with increasing measure over the past 2 years.
Wisconsin’s next school report cards will give parents and students more information about the trades in general as well as learning a skill. Gov. Tony Evers on Friday signed an apprenticeship plan, known as AB 220, into law. The new law will expose a new generation of kids to new opportunities.
THANK YOU Officer Adams and K9 Truman for your miraculous rescue of two young missing children. You make the 38th Assembly District as well as the entire State of Wisconsin proud.
CONGRATULATIONS OCONOMOWOC HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM
Rep. Dittrich was proud to join fellow community members and Oconomowoc parents, past and present, in cheering on the girls volleyball team all the way to state. Congratulations ladies on your extraordinary win!
JOHNSON CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT RIBBON CUTTING
In such challenging times between schools, parents, and communities, it is nothing short of miraculous how those in the Johnson Creek community have come together to complete the elementary school portion of the school campus.
It was a delight for Rep. Dittrich to be there this past Sunday for the ribbon cutting to celebrate what has been accomplished.
MEETING WITH THE WISCONSIN BIKE FEDERATION
Rep. Dittrich was honored to meet with Kirsten and Alesha from the Wisconsin Bike Federation to problem solve around getting the Hwy 67 bike tunnel completed. They are committed to helping get this project over the finish line.
The project organizers are just waiting to hear back from the mayor so we can move forward on adding their help.

WHEN THINGS DO NOT WORK AS THEY SHOULD
Tony Evers has now activated 500 National Guard troops deploying to Kenosha awaiting a verdict in the Rittenhouse trial. Remember, 1,500 were requested by the County Board. Evers initially sent 125 back in the summer of 2020 and then eventually another 500 after the Rittenhouse debacle. The responsibility for this lies squarely at his feet. Had Evers acted with strength when he should have, we would not be where we are today.
