Expanding School Choice

Another victory was achieved this week with the Senate's passage of the bill Rep. Dittrich led with Wisconsin State Senator Dale Kooyenga.

AB 59 now finally heads to the governor's desk. Let's see if he truly is "the education governor" by signing this expanded opportunity to educate Wisconsin's kids in a school that meets their needs.

Election Uniformity and Police Reform

In addition to joining the Assembly in voting for reducing enhanced unemployment benefits, the State Senate also passed legislation affecting law enforcement and voting procedures on Wednesday.

Projected State Surplus

Wisconsin is projected to have $4.4 billion more by mid-2023 than anticipated! And Tony Evers wants to increase your taxes and/or spend more?! No thanks!

Rep. Dittrich will stand with fellow Republican colleagues who, over the last decade, have passed responsible budgets and spending while addressing Wisconsin's priorities.

Protecting Women in Sports

Next week Rep Dittrich’s Protecting Women in Sports bills will be up for a floor vote in the Assembly. This legislation has gained support not only from parents and student athletes, but also from feminists of every political persuasion.

Rep. Dittrich is looking forward to debating the bills on the floor of the Assembly and is anticipating their passage by the full body.

IN THE DISTRICT

HIPAA CLARIFICATION

As we have faced uncharted territory with COVID-19, countless people have cited their medical privacy rights under HIPAA, many erroneously.

While Rep. Dittrich is a big proponent of personal medical privacy and control, she does believe it is critical for citizens to know the boundaries. The following link shares what the law does and does not cover.

Your Rights Under HIPAA

19th Amendment Anniversary

On June 10th, 1919, Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. It has been Rep. Dittrich's great honor to not only kick off the celebration at our state Capitol in 2019, but also applaud our next generation of female voters with the First Lady at the White House in 2020.

She continues to be a beacon showing that women are diverse in thought and opinion, and we will NOT sit down and shut up in today's toxic cancel culture.

Fastest Growing Counties

All three of the counties that comprise the 38th Assembly District are listed among the "Fastest-growing counties in Wisconsin"; Dane County is #1, Waukesha County is #3, and Jefferson County is #18.

This fantastic growth keeps Rep. Dittrich very busy throughout our legislative district. It's an honor for her to serve and fight for such a vibrant part of our state!

Constituent Corner

It was Rep. Dittrich's great honor to thank and award Oconomowoc High School Spanish teacher Danielle Chaussée on behalf of herself and Wisconsin State Senator John Jagler with a citation recognizing her excellence.

In 2016, Ms. Chaussée brought The Global Scholars Program to Oconomowic High School, benefitting so many of our students. It was fun for Rep. Dittrich to talk with Danielle about her own family's global and multilingual opportunities. The 38th Assembly District is grateful to Danielle for her dedication to our students.
