105th WISCONSON STATE ASSEMBLY SESSION

Rep. Dittrich is grateful to the residents of the 38th Assembly District for their faith and support in sending her back to Madison to represent them. While this session will present many challenges, she is ready to tackle the tough issues facing our state including the upcoming biennial state budget, ongoing virus, upholding our constitutional rights, and continuing to encourage workforce
development.

Rep. Dittrich believes all of these issues are integral to moving Wisconsin in the right direction!

ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

Rep. Dittrich is honored to announce her Assembly Committee Assignments for the 2021-2022 legislative session. It is a privilege to serve the great people of the State of Wisconsin.

She is especially honored to be chair of the Assembly Committee on Consumer Protection and vice-chair of the Assembly Committee on Workforce Development.

In addition to her committee assignments, Rep. Dittrich is eager to continue working on important issues such as safe schools by funding school resource officers, removing barriers for businesses, pro-life reforms, economic revitalization, and assistance for farmers and small businesses.

ASSEMBLY BILL 1

As a member of the Assembly Committee on Health, Rep. Dittrich took part in hearings this week to listen to public testimony on the much-needed, the second COVID relief package.

As a first priority to the legislative session, members convened in a floor session to pass Assembly Bill 1 (AB 1). This is a good bill with provisions that were passed in other states that have Republican legislators and signed by Democrat governors.

COVID-19 VACCINE

Rep. Dittrich has received some concerns from our first responders that they are not receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in a timely manner despite being in group 1A for distribution.

You may recall that Assembly Republicans asked for input on the vaccine distribution plan last month in our initial COVID relief proposal because we heard it wasn't well organized. The governor rebuffed our offer to help and this is the result - a disorganized, confusing frustration for Wisconsinites.

This simply cannot unfold in the same manner our unemployment claims situation has over the past 9 months.

'Bizarre, disorganized': Wisconsin behind most of Midwest on COVID-19 vaccinations; some health care workers say they're in the dark

However, as Rep. Dittrich works with county stakeholders and Western Lakes Fire District, she is heartened to see them working together to overcome this debacle with getting our first responders the vaccinations they need. Hopefully, our current situation will improve quickly.

THANK YOU

It is important to THANK Wisconsinites who have been back to their jobs for months or who never stopped doing their jobs despite COVID-19. You realize that we all need to work to keep our homes and country thriving. You also reasonably expect your legislators to be in-person doing the same.

Rep. Dittrich has never stopped being engaged with the community throughout this virus outbreak. Despite the governor closing the capitol, her office has never stopped working, fighting for unemployment benefits for constituents, listening to constituents far and wide, problem-solving, working with school districts, voting to get aid to Wisconsinites, working with counties and municipalities on a wide variety of issues, and battling to have our communities safely reopened.

Her office was fully staffed, in-person on June 1, 2020, even meeting people outside on park benches at the capitol for appointments. Constituents have come to and can expect nothing less of Rep. Dittrich in this legislative session.

Rep. Dittrich Condemns Violence in Nation's Capitol

During the floor period this week, the Assembly also passed Assembly Resolution 4, condemning political violence.
