STATE OF THE STATE

Rep. Dittrich issued a statement in response to Governor Evers' State of the State Address this week.

Additionally, Speaker Vos delivered the Republican response immediately following Governor Evers' address.

VACCINATION ROLL OUT

After a morning of hearing nothing but excuses and blame from DHS in the Assembly Committee on Health's hearing on COVID vaccine distribution, Rep. Dittrich believes it is important for constituents to know what a huge breakthrough Western Lakes Fire District has made in cutting through red tape to get vaccines to 1A workers in a 3 county area.

She applauds Chief Bowen and the entire team for their nimble response and dedicated cooperation to move from receiving first doses on Monday to administering vaccinations on Tuesday.

Additionally, Rep. Dittrich wrote a column on the current vaccination distribution issue facing our state.

ASSEMBLY BILL 1

Last week, the Assembly passed Assembly Bill 1 related to state government actions to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Protections in this bill include opening places of worship and schools, ensuring employers cannot mandate the COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment, and providing ways for loved ones to visit family members in nursing homes.

Rep. Dittrich's office has received emails and calls from individuals concerned about the changes made to the bill by the State Senate. At this time, the language of the bills are in conflict with each other; the senate version being stripped of some of essential provisions purposely included in AB 1.

As the bill is drafted, Rep. Dittrich supports AB 1 including all the protections and provisions therein. She firmly believes the COVID-19 vaccination should be completely voluntary but easily available to anyone that would like to receive one.

The Assembly and Senate will continue to discuss the legislation and hopefully move forward to have meaningful legislation passed in the coming days.

STATE TAX BURDEN

In case you missed this news, Republicans' decade of dedication to positive reform is helping you individually and providing solid solvency for our state in these tumultuous times.

Had the legislature allowed Gov. Evers' level of spending, we would be in serious trouble right now.
