PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM

Rep. Dittrich knows small businesses are the backbone of our communities. Especially during the pandemic, our government should not be imposing more regulations or hardships on individuals trying to support their families and communities.

This week, she voted to preserve jobs and protect ailing businesses that have suffered as a result of COVID-19 restrictions and closures.

It's important to keep Wisconsin moving FORWARD.

Assembly Bill 3 passed both the Senate and Assembly unanimously and was signed into law by Governor Evers.

BADGER BOUNCE BACKWARD BUDGET

This week, Governor Evers introduced his 2021-2023 biennial budget. Under the Badger Bounce Backward Budget, WI would see over $1BILLION spent in new taxes, bloat the bureaucracy, recommend over $1.6 billion in bonding, and repeal Act 10.

Once again, the Governor also recommends repealing successful conservative reforms that got us to the stable budget situation we are currently in. He focuses on massively growing government, but couldn’t be bothered to include a plan to get our kids back in school.

Meanwhile, the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) took a stand for our kids, passing a motion that will shift dollars toward school districts that returned to in-person learning sooner.

Senate and Assembly GOP lawmakers approved a measure that would allocate $65 million based on a formula that rewards districts that had the most hours of in-person instruction.

GASLIGHTING MARIJUANA

This week, Rep. Dittrich shared her thoughts on the Governor's proposal to legalize marijuana.

VACCINE BACKLOG

The Assembly and Senate passed Assembly Bill 4 (AB 4) this week, authorizing pharmacy technicians to administer vaccines.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the supply of healthcare workers has been a critical ongoing concern for the state and nation’s healthcare systems. With the vaccination effort struggling to ramp up, it is imperative that Wisconsin ensures that the throughput of vaccine administration is never hindered by a lack of healthcare workers available to provide the injections. AB 4 helps move Wisconsin towards that goal by removing artificial barriers that would otherwise sideline significant numbers.

The bill was signed into law by Governor Evers.

CONSTITUENT CORNER

If it's a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday you're likely to see Rep. Dittrich working out in the district. It was such an honor for her to spend time today at a bedrock of the Oconomowoc community, Leather-Rich.

They are a family-owned business offering a unique service for 43 years with customers in 7 states. We are proud to have them in our district.
