UNTIL NOVEMBER

Until November

EVERS VETOES ELECTION BILLS

One of the sad parts of Tony Evers' vetoes of the election bills (late last week) put forward by the legislature is that those bills would have created uniformity, which is desperately needed from municipality to municipality and county to county in this state.

Hopefully, our Wisconsin State Supreme Court will provide some clarity in their decision with this lawsuit.

Absentee Ballots In Last Week's Election Were Handled Inconsistently Across Wisconsin After A State Supreme Court Ruling

INFLATION RISING

This is only part of the reason we don't spend a PROJECTED budget surplus before it has come into the state coffers. The Republican majority in the Legislature has remained fiscally responsible in watching for the recessionary indicators on the horizon.

PARENTS' RIGHTS: PROTECTING OUR KIDS

While lawmakers on Rep. Dittrich's side of the aisle are mocked as they push back against CRT and decry leftists grooming our kids, they SADLY keep finding themselves proven correct. This insanity has got to stop. Schools need to get back to academic excellence and core competencies.

FIRE SAFETY

Fire crews were out in Southeastern Wisconsin fighting grass fires this weekend, and now this DNR warning comes for the southwestern part of the state. The bottom line is that conditions may be drier than you think, and the spring winds can rapidly accelerate fires. Take proper precautions to make sure you're not starting or caught in such a situation.

TREATMENT OF CONSERVATIVE WOMEN

Rep. Dittrich would be remiss if she didn't spotlight the disparity in how Conservative women are treated versus how Liberal women are treated. We've seen a glaring distinction this week. This week, she watched the media go absolutely apoplectic over the fact that Michael Gableman ran at the mouth about how WEC's Meagan Wolfe dressed. Strange, Rep. Dittrich doesn't remember such outrage as she was similarly mocked by Rep. Snodgrass last year.

Yet, this same media barely utters a peep about the actual threats made to newly elected Milwaukee County Supervisor Deanna Alexander, who is the mother of young children. Rep. Dittrich has had similar threats to her, her family, her home, and her office staff. It's horrible having to contact law enforcement to intervene and live on edge worrying about the safety of your family.

When did this all become acceptable discourse? And why is it alright for one side to engage in this behavior but not the other? Until Liberals decry these types of attacks from their own side of the aisle, their outrage over Gableman's statements hold absolutely no credibility. Insults, pejoratives, bullying, and threats should be weighed equally from both sides. And a citizen like Deanna Alexander should never have to fear for the safety of her family because she dared to run for public office.

AROUND THE DISTRICT

COURT DECISION: LEATHER RICH

Leather Rich is a well known business to longtime residents of the Oconomowoc area. Rep. Dittrich glad the court has decided in favor of the owner's widow so the dissolution of the business can proceed (per owner's wishes). The DNR was shameful in the way they blamed the business for violating extremely vague standards that could not even be accurately traced to Leather Rich.

Rep. Dittrich supports clean environmental standards, but this was a case of regulation gone amok.

OCONOMOWOC HIGH SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER VISIT

Thank you to Oconomowoc Area School District and Officer Haas for the walk-along to see best practices and student support. The district's partnerships with outside mental health providers is a key intervention that adds an important step before students get to the point of ending up interacting with our Student Resource Officer (SRO).

FLAG DELIVERY

Nothing beats a smile at the door when Rep. Dittrich delivers a new flag to a constituent! This week's final delivery was a great way to end the week. Rep. Dittrich won't be able to start this back up until after the November election due to campaign law.
