Upcoming Assembly Floor Session &
State of the Tribes

This upcoming Tuesday, the Assembly will hold a floor session to vote on a number of important bills, including ones dealing with elder abuse, financial exploitation, and child protection. Making sure those who are most vulnerable to exploitation are protected by the law is something I think we can all agree on. I hope these bills that would ensure the physical, financial and emotional safety of our children and seniors pass through the Assembly. More information on the bills to be voted on can be found on the Assembly InSession webpage, and the session can be streamed live on

I'm also looking forward to Tuesday's session because it's our annual State of the Tribes address. As the chair of the Special Committee on State & Tribal Relations, I've been honored to work with tribal communities throughout the state. This address is an opportunity to recognize the importance of our tribes, and for the legislature at large to connect with tribal leaders and hear about their legislative priorities. While the address may be a bit different than usual due to COVID-19 precautions, I know my colleagues and I are looking forward to it.

Budget Survey Online
& Heading to Mailboxes Soon

At the beginning of each session, I send out a survey to get direct feedback from folks around the district. These surveys are important for me as your state legislator. Through your responses, I get the chance to hear your feedback on key issues, which helps me ensure your interests are being met at the state capitol.

The paper version of my survey is going to be heading to mailboxes shortly, but in the meantime, the same survey can also be filled out online on my webpage for residents of the 36th Assembly District:

DWD Unemployment Update

With the high number of unemployment claims being filed in Wisconsin and nationwide in recent months, delays in determinations and payments have been a too common occurrence. As a legislator, I'm able to reach out to DWD and make an inquiry on your behalf if you are experiencing issues or delays with your unemployment claim.
