Rep. Cody Horlacher Named Chairman of Assembly Regulatory Licensing Reform Committee

Madison, WI—Yesterday, Rep. Cody Horlacher (R-Mukwonago) was named chairman of the Assembly Regulatory Licensing Reform Committee.

“I am honored to have been chosen to chair this committee. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address issues related to regulatory licensing reform. It’s important to review current operations and understand how various regulations affect businesses across all sectors of our state,” said Rep. Horlacher.

The Assembly Regulatory Licensing Reform Committee is a new standing committee for the 2017-2018 legislative session. Rep. Horlacher will be joined by Vice-Chairman Rep. Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan) and other members of the committee will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I look forward to working with Rep. Joan Ballweg, who has been a leader on the Red Tape Review efforts here in Wisconsin and I know that we will find ways to continue to move Wisconsin forward,” said Rep. Horlacher.

Rep. Cody Horlacher is currently the chairman of the Legislative Council Study Committee on Access to Civil Legal Services and looks forward to continuing to discuss regulatory issues raised in that committee in his new role as chairman of this standing committee.
