Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The fall session of the legislature just wrapped up earlier this fall and we are heading into 2017 full steam ahead. I've got several committee meetings coming up this month and in January and the full Assembly will once again be on the floor to debate bills that were passed out of committee earlier this session. Stay up to date on everything happening in the Capitol and the district by following me on Facebook. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to check out my website, or contact my office directly with any of your concerns.

                     Legislative Update

The assembly has been hard at work this session passing bills that keep Wisconsin moving forward! At our most recent floor session, I am proud to say we passed our Hire Heroes bill, co-authored with Representative Riemer, which will help create transitional jobs for veterans. Now it is on to the Senate!

Honored to be appointed to the Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding. This commission will examine how funding is distributed to schools and ways to better meet the needs of students across Wisconsin.

AB 306 has been signed by the Governor and enacted into law. AB 306 is one piece of the fight against methamphetamine use in Wisconsin and would allow Wisconsin to join 33 other states in combating the rise of methamphetamine use.

AB 701 was introduced which will establish a Victim's Legal Clinic at UW Law School. This clinic will help those in need receive legal aid while also giving law students hands on experience while in school.
