Wisconsin Agri-Business Association Leadership Development Academy

The Wisconsin Agri-Business Association (WABA) Leadership Development Academy recently visited the Wisconsin State Capitol and shared their stories of working in agricultural jobs across the state. WABA is a non-profit trade association. Its mission is to represent, provide programs and services, educate, train, manage regulatory and legislative affairs, and to be a strong unifying voice for the agribusiness industries of Wisconsin. It was great to hear how they interact with government entities to do their everyday jobs.

Walworth County Fair

Wisconsin fairs are an important part of our state’s history. Since 1842 fairs have provided an opportunity for rural and urban people to showcase their projects, meet neighbors and friends and enjoy food and entertainment. Youth who participate in fairs gain valuable experience over the course of many months leading up to the fair as they are working on their projects, and learn many valuable lessons when it is time for the judging to take place.

I enjoyed every minute of the five days I spent at the Walworth County Fair this year and would like to congratulate everyone who worked so hard to make this event a success!

Fair Association Award

The Wisconsin Association of State Fairs presented me with their 2019 Grand Champion of the Fairs Award at the Walworth County Fair. It was an honor to be recognized by this statewide organization for my efforts to support all the great county and district fairs in Wisconsin which attract over 3 million visitors annually and generate $150 million in economic impact!
