Janesville Joint Finance Committee Budget Hearing

I am excited to announce the Joint Finance Committee will be coming to Janesville to host a public hearing on the budget!

Date: Friday, April 5, 2019

Time: 10:00 am

Location: Pontiac Convention Center 2809 N Pontiac Dr.

I look forward to welcoming the committee to Janesville. According to Legislative Fiscal Bureau records dating back to 1985, JFC has not held a public hearing of this nature in Janesville.

The public hearing is JFC’s opportunity to hear from citizens across the state. Generally speaking, individuals are given two minutes to provide testimony to the committee on their views on the 2019-2021 biennial budget. I hope to see a good turn out from Rock County and neighboring communities!!

Days in the District

I had the opportunity to tour local businesses and meet with constituents in both Rock and Walworth County.

My district day in Beloit started with a morning tour of NorthStar, then I delivered meals with Meals on Wheels, and I got to see amazing local youth at BookQuest at Beloit Public Library and ended the day meeting with Chief Liggett at the Beloit Fire Department!

My district day in Williams Bay I toured the
Barrett Memorial Library and saw their new addition, visited with GLAS: Geneva Lake Astrophysics and STEAM and learned about all the incredible things they do, then visited with members of the Village on issues in Williams Bay!

Update on my Bills

Last week, AB 52: relating to a minor contracting for shelter, AB 46: relating to successor liability and AB 51: relating to the minority teacher loan program all had public hearings. I'm excited that my three bills were all heard in their respective committees and are making their way through the legislative process.
