Rep. Loudenbeck Statement on Committee Passage of AB 453

Madison –Rep. Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton), member of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC), issued the following statement on committee passage of Assembly Bill 453 (AB 453) requiring the Family Care benefit and self-directed services option to be provided in Rock County:

“JFC’s unanimous vote to allow Family Care benefits and services to be provided in Rock County is a big win for our most vulnerable residents, their families, and their caregivers.  The Family Care model will ensure that individuals eligible for long-term care benefits and services will receive services without being placed on a long waiting list.

"The transition may take some time, but the long wait to begin implementation is almost over.  I am hopeful that my colleagues in the senate and assembly will be supportive when the bill goes to the floor in both houses to be voted on.”
