Lake Shore Community Health

I'd like to say a big thank you to Lakeshore Community Health. Thank you to the staff for our wonderful tour. This addition to Manitowoc is a blessing for many in our community. The facility has expanded access to mental health and successfully erasing the stigma associated with mental health. Among the many services Lakeshore offers, the clinic now has 6 full-time dentists.

I want to extend my appreciation to the many great people working tirelessly to improve health and telehealth for Wisconsinites. I am humbled and blessed to have received an award from Kristin Stearns, Stephanie Harrison, and the Lakeshore team for my support and advocacy in community health care. The state budget increased reimbursement rates for dentists among other advancements for healthcare.

International Paper- Manitowoc Box Plant

International Paper is an innovative box and packaging corporation in Manitowoc. Who would have thought making a box could be such an extensive process! Thank you to the International Paper team for showing us what goes into your work. Sen. LeMahieu and I were able to see the neat corrugated  packaging process, products, facility and meet with the dedicated management and sales teams from the Manitowoc Box Plant.

I want to thank Manitowoc IP for their hard work and efforts as they work short-staffed. I always appreciate meeting with business leaders in our community. Unfortunately, IP Manitowoc is another business desperately trying to hire workers and pays well above the minimum wage. The IP team was very knowledgeable. God Bless hard workers like the team at International Paper.

County Fair Listening Sessions

Thanks to those that stopped by yesterday. I will be holding more sessions this weekend. The remaining sessions will take place at the Manitowoc County Republican Booth on Saturday the 28th from 12:15 P.M. to 1:30 P.M., and on Sunday the 29th from 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.

“I treasure these listening sessions,” said Rep. Tittl, “Because they give constituents an opportunity to share their thoughts, their problems or their experiences with state and government agencies.” He added, “They are a time for me to listen to their concerns rather than debate."

“The Manitowoc County Fair is always a great time”, Rep. Tittl said. “I’m really looking forward to attending’.

The fair runs from August 25-29. Daily Admission is $10 and a season ticket is $30. Admission is $6 for veterans and senior citizens 60+ with a valid ID.

A full schedule and more information can be found on the fair brochure at https://manitowoccountywi.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Fair-Brochure.pdf

Joint Listening Session in Kiel

Thanks to those who came to the Kiel Joint Listening Session with Sen. Devin LeMahieu, Rep. Tyler Vorpagel, Rep. Terry Katsma, and myself. We appreciated hearing the concerns of constituents. I enjoyed hearing all of your thoughts about education curriculum. If you did not make it, and can't visit the fair this weekend, feel free to email me your thoughts or concerns.

Back to School

And just like that, summer is coming to an end. Thank you to our dedicated teachers, student aids, parents, superintendents, school bus drivers, coaches, dining hall staff, and custodians. You all make such a difference in giving our children and grandchildren happy and safe learning environments. May God Bless each and every one of you. To our students: have a wonderful school year, and don't forget to study!

Draw Your District

Typically, Census data is received every 10 years, in spring.  Unfortunately, the data was delayed for many months and was just released to Wisconsin. New data requires district boundaries to be adjusted to account for population changes. Any Wisconsin resident can now submit their input by visiting: DrawYourDistrictWisconsin.com . Submissions will be accepted on the website from September 1st through October 15th, 2021.
