Hunter Mentorship Program Improvements

  CNR Group 400.jpg

Hello,

Welcome to September!  The Committee on Natural Resources and Sporting Heritage was hard at work this week recommending AB 455 to the full Assembly.  I voted in favor of this bill, which passed 10-4 on Wednesday.

By referring this legislation out of committee, Wisconsin legislators are doing their part to improve the hunting mentorship program and make the sport safer and more enjoyable.  This type of legislation gets me excited for fall!

Session will resume this month, and I encourage you to follow the budget debate.  Tune in to wiseye.org to see committee meetings, floor debates, and the votes you care about the most.

Don't forget to come visit me at the Calumet County Fair this weekend and have a great Labor Day.

Sincerely,

Representative Paul Tittl

Investing in Education

This week the Joint Finance Committee approved multiple investments into Wisconsin's education system.

More than $600M will go to K12 education and $180M will go to maintain and repair state facilities.

The committee also enumerated engineering-related projects for the UW-system so the state's workforce needs can be met.

State legislators are putting taxpayer money back in the classroom.
