Tax Cut Bill Passes Committee

public hearing crop.jpg

Hello,

      This week the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means had a joint Public Hearing with the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Revenue and Financial Institutions on the middle class tax cut bill (AB 4). The bill passed out of the Assembly committee in an Executive Session by a vote of 8-4. Click these links to view the Public Hearing and Executive Session. You can also see a joint statement from the co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Finance here.

      The Assembly bill provides relief to hard working, middle class Wisconsinites without increasing the tax burden on job creators in the manufacturing sector. It avoids further complicating the tax code by using the existing standard deduction and delivers a tax cut for the middle class paid for by our current surplus. I look forward to watching the bill work its way through the legislative process.

      As always, if there is anything I can do to assist you, please contact me. You can share your thoughts, find out additional information on issues, or see where I stand on any legislation. I look forward to hearing from you and, as always, working for you. Stay safe out there in this winter weather!

Sincerely,

Representative Paul Tittl

Standing Against Abortion

    In light of recent national news, Assembly Republicans took a stand for life on Wednesday. Many of my colleagues provided personal testimony on why this issue matter to them. As a caucus, we remain dedicated to protecting the unborn. To watch the press conference, click here.

Thanks for Visiting!

    It was great speaking with Todd Hadler from Monroe Elementary School this week. He visited Madison as part of the lobby day for the Wisconsin School Counselor Association. I have a heart for mental health and making sure our kids receive the help and services they need. I truly appreciate Todd's advocacy and the information he provided during our meeting.
