More Safety Grants Awarded in Manitowoc

Madison: Today the Wisconsin Department of Justice announced two more schools in Manitowoc will receive grant funding through the School Safety Grant program. Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Grade School will receive $15,749 and Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran School will receive $16,809.

“Schools in our community are seeing real results in response to potential safety threats at places of learning,” said Rep. Tittl (R-Manitowoc). “This funding will update school infrastructure, equip staff and protect our most vulnerable.”

So far during the first round of funding, 605 schools and school districts have been awarded $44,228,887 from the DOJ’s Office of School Safety. If schools are interested in applying for the second round of funding, they must complete an “intent to apply” and submit it to the Office of School Safety by August 13th.
