Manitowoc's Walk to End Alzheimer's

This past weekend, the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin helped orchestrate a walk to end alzheimers. Many people from all over the area showed up in support of people who have been affected by this horrible disease. As someone who has lost a loved one to Alzheimers, it was a pleasure to attend such an wonderful and important event like this.

It's Great to See You!

This week, Hayden from Manitowoc stopped by my office. Hayden is a physical therapy student in Milwaukee. We had the opportunity to discuss legislation that will help increase jobs in the physical therapy profession.

I also had the chance to talk with Linda Hall, director of the Office of Children’s Mental Health. We talked about ways we can better serve children with mental health issues.

The Wall that Heals

The Wall that Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., recently stopped by Manitowoc. The wall features the names of 58,000 Americans who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, and serves as a stark reminder of the price we pay for the freedom we enjoy.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped bring this wall to Manitowoc and I appreciated the opportunity to honor those who gave their lives for our great county.

Wisconsin Assisted Living Roundtable with Senator Pat Testin

FC CEO Roundtable 2(resize).jpg

This week I spoke at the 2019 Wisconsin Assisted Living Fall Conference in Pewaukee. Assisted living owners, operators, and guests asked Senator Testin and myself questions about what we are doing to help those in need of assisted living in Wisconsin. Many of the guests at the roundtable serve people with Alzheimer's or other mental health diagnoses.
