Tour of Broadwind Heavy Fabrications

A special thank you to the many employees of Broadwind Heavy Fabrications for welcoming Majority Leader Sen. Devin Lemahieu, Rep. Tyler Vorpagel, and me to your impressive facility.

My colleagues and I had a great tour, led by Matt Boor, and were glad to follow up with CEO, Eric Blashford, and President, Dan Schueller. Thank you for showing us your impressive operation and teaching us more about the manufacturing industry, and Broadwind.

The photos above and below show production stages from our tour and some monstrous parts manufactured within their facility. Below, check out the incredible crane project.

The crane shown above designed by Konecranes is being built in partnership with Broadwind. This crane's ultimate customer is the Navy and will support their nuclear submarine fleet. To put in perspective its' insane size and strength, this crane will lift as much as 140 tons and weigh more than 2,700,000 pounds when fully assembled.

Tour of Manitowoc COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Last Friday, I was able to tour the Manitowoc County Expo Center, the vaccination clinic for Manitowoc County joined by Governor Evers, my predecessor, Bob Ziegelbauer, and County Board Chair, Jim Brey.

Thank you to Travis Waack for the great tour and hard work of all those at the Manitowoc County Expo Center in getting those vaccinated who wish to receive the vaccine.
