Safer at Home Order

As of Wednesday, March 25th at 8 am, Governor Evers put into effect his "Safer at Home" emergency order. The order will remain in place until 8 am on Friday, April 24th. You can read the full order here

This order requires people in Wisconsin to stay in their homes if they're not performing essential activities such as going to the doctor, getting necessary services or supplies, participating in outdoor activities, working in an essential business or taking care of others. The order also requires the closure of so-called "nonessential" businesses as deemed by the state. There are many exceptions, including grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and medical facilities.

If you are a business and have questions about the emergency order, or what kind of businesses are deemed "essential", visit:

Fees Waived at State Parks, Remain Open

The DNR has waived fees for Wisconsin State Parks and Trails. When many people are cooped up in the house, going to one of our excellent state parks could do a lot of good for our physical and mental health. Click here for more information

The Work Continues...

Like so many of you, I've been getting a case of cabin fever with staying home trying to avoid the virus. Earlier this week, I decided to get a little fresh air and go for a walk around my neighborhood. On Waldo Boulevard in Manitowoc, I noticed some construction workers who still have to work during this uncertain time. Thank you very much for your work!

I would also like to thank a couple other groups that are helping all of us get through this crisis. They are the first responders, grocers, health care professionals, and truck drivers. Your work on the front lines during these challenging times is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Watch my Interview with CBN!

Recently I did an interview with CBN that focuses on my life before becoming a born-again Christian and how my faith impacts my responsibility as a state legislature. It was supposed to air on the 700 club this past Monday, but they will reschedule it for a later date. However, you can click the picture above to watch it right now. I hope you enjoy it!

A Good Time to Volunteer

Earlier this week, I volunteered at the local Salvation Army, helping to pack boxes of food for those down on there luck. Because of the large number in need of food, the Salvation Army is only taking appointments at this time, no open pantry.

If you would also like to volunteer at the Salvation Army, they ask that you call in to ask first. There number is (920) 684-7117.
