State Budget Moves Forward

  Wisconsin Graphic 450.jpg

Hello,

The budget has officially passed out of the Joint Finance Committee (JFC)! This week, the JFC worked on solidifying parts of the budget dealing with Foxconn, transportation, education, and taxes. To learn more about what the JFC is doing, click here. The budget will now move forward to be considered by the full Assembly.

Thank you for coming out and meeting with me at my listening sessions over the past couple weeks. I enjoyed discussing what issues are important to you. I even got to hang out with Ashley Pagel, the 2017 Fairest of the Fair at the Calumet County Fair.

With Session resuming next week, I have the opportunity to put words into action as I consider all of the things you shared with me during this lengthy budget process. I am proud to serve you and look forward to the critical votes that lie ahead.

Sincerely,

Representative Paul Tittl

Don't forget to remember those lost on September 11th, 2001.  Hannah's words below are a great reminder of the tragedy and the resilience of America.

We're Still Standing
Hannah Schoechert, 7th grader

Those twin towers
Standing tall with pride,
Fell with grieving hearts.
Stunned, America cried.

But we’re still standing.

Bin Laden tried
To crush our land,
But we stood our ground
With our flag in hand.

And we’re still standing.

Red for valor
And the blood that fell.
White for purity
Our heroes tell.
Blue for the justice
That will be done,
Proving once more
These colors don’t run.

And we’re still standing.
