Honoring Wisconsin's Veterans

Veterans Day 500.jpg

Hello,

As always, it was an honor to go to the Veterans Day dinner last weekend in Manitowoc. This is the sixth year I have attended this event, and it is always a special experience honoring veterans in our community.

I was able to visit with (from left to right) veterans Al Karl and Mike Demske, Manitowoc County Veterans Services Director Todd Brehmer, Tim Thiers, State Senator Devin LeMahieu, and Tom Hoffman.

Make sure to check out next week's update on the emotional public hearing that was held by the Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs. Many individuals provided compelling testimony on three new bills. Stay tuned!

Sincerely,

Representative Paul Tittl

Hunting Update

Good luck to all Wisconsin hunters as the nine-day gun season kicks off this weekend. The legislature has enacted and modified a few laws that may impact you or someone you know. Get familiar with them before you head out to harvest your deer.

This short video from Governor Walker and DNR Secretary Dan Meyer provides helpful tips on how to have a safe and fun hunting season.  Want to learn more? Visit gowild.wi.gov to learn about rule changes, purchase hunting licenses, and register your deer.

State Title Returns to Valders

Congratulations to the 2017 WIAA Division II State Champions, the Valders High School boys cross country team. The team went into state undefeated and made a great showing. Led by Coach Bill Dietrich, the Vikings ended a state title drought stretching back to 1989. Way to go boys!
