Manitowoc Businesswoman Receives Trailblazer Awards

Madison: Lynn Seidl-Babcock, owner of HomeCare Health Services & Hospice and Manitowoc HomeCare, received both a Forward Award and a Pioneer Award at the 2018 Governor’s Trailblazer Awards for Women in Business ceremony at the Wisconsin State Capitol today.

“Lynn is a vital part of our community. Her services help some of Wisconsin’s most vulnerable, and she is very deserving of this recognition,” said Rep. Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc), who represents Manitowoc and nominated Lynn for the awards. “She epitomizes a trailblazer, paving the way for future female entrepreneurs in our state.”

The Pioneer Award recognizes women who have owned a business for the past 25 years or more, and the Forward Award commends female entrepreneurs who employ over 100 people.

Seidl-Babcock purchased her company in 1991 and employs 150 people. Her business offers a wide range of home care services across Manitowoc County.

Governor Walker presented the awards to 17 recipients in Madison. Seidl-Babcock was the only recipient to receive two awards at the event.
