Bail Reform Amendment
This week, the Assembly voted to set into motion the process for a constitutional amendment that will change the way that bail is done in Wisconsin. This amendment would add Wisconsin to the 48 other states which currently permit courts to consider a defendant's danger to the

Elections Bills Advance
Caroline Fochs, the city clerk in Mequon, joined me in testifying in favor of my bill which would require state-issued driver's licenses held by non-citizens to include a notation that the card is not valid for voting purposes.

Great Revenue News
The Legislative Fiscal Bureau released updated revenue numbers last week which, once again, reaffirm what I have been saying for years--that cutting taxes increases revenue over time by encouraging investment and job creation.

Convention of States Resolution
Assembly Joint Resolution 9 passed the Assembly last May, and finally made it through the State Senate this week. Wisconsin is now the 16th state to submit its application to the Congress for such a convention.

Vaccine Tampering Bill Passes
This week, the Assembly held our first floor session of 2022 and passed a bill I authored with Senator Duey Stroebel (R-Campbellsport) to protect vaccines and other medical products from sabotage.

Our state scored a victory for transparency and government accountability this week with the enactment of Act 89, which establishes an online portal which will allow the public to view financial information about their school districts.

Redistricting Update
Last week, the Assembly State Affairs Committee and the Senate Government Operations Committee heard over eight hours of testimony on Assembly Bills 624 and 625, which establish the new legislative and congressional maps for the upcoming decade.
